Greentown Grows Garden Work Event - October 25, 2025
We’ll be pulling out the last of the summer plants, tidying beds, and putting the space to sleep until spring. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just looking to learn, everyone is welcome! We'll provide tools - just bring your enthusiasm. Many hands make light work, and it’s always more fun together—come lend a hand and help us close the season strong!
Please bring work gloves, water, and dress for the weather.
Unless it is storming, pouring rain, or snowing, the event is on. In case the event does need to be canceled, an email will be sent out by 8 am.
To find the garden, go to the intersection of Metropolitan Ave. and York House Rd. in Waukegan. Turn off York House at the Waukegan BMX sign. The garden is located at the end of the parking lot in front of the BMX track. Please click here for a map.
