Join us for the Green Networking Breakfast! ☀️🌿
Start your morning with purpose at the annual Green Networking Breakfast, hosted in partnership by the Office of Sustainability, Sustainable Carolina, and Impact at Darla Moore.
This event brings together students, faculty, staff, and community members to connect, share ideas, and discuss the latest in sustainability. Enjoy a light, sustainably sourced breakfast curated by Carolina Food Co., featuring local, seasonal ingredients and plant-forward options that reflect their commitment to reducing food waste and improving sustainable food systems on campus.
This year’s breakfast is extra special, featuring Mayor Daniel Rickenmann as our keynote speaker. A strong advocate for conservation and youth engagement, Mayor Rickenmann helped the City of Columbia invest $50,000 to launch youth-led climate initiatives—an effort that led to the city’s selection for Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Youth Climate Action Fund and an additional $100,000 in microgrants. Several of these microgrants were awarded to USC students, empowering them to design and implement innovative sustainability projects right here on campus and in the Columbia community.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow sustainability champions, learn from local leaders, and be inspired by the growing movement toward a greener, more resilient Columbia.
