This course is ideal for people involved in green industries (landscaping, lawn care, and residential pest control). The class will start at 8AM and end at 4:30PM. The course will be offered in-person at the Bert J. Harris Agricultural Center Auditorium in Sebring, FL.

The green industry best management practice (GI-BMP) training and certification is required for fertilizer applicators who want to obtain their Limited Fertilizer Applicator Certification in Florida. This class provides useful information on best management practices (BMPs), environmentally responsible landscaping practices and methods to protect and responsibly use Florida's water.

At the end of the class, a post-test will be taken to obtain your GIBMP certification.

This course will also offer CEUs (PENDING):

• 2 for core 487

• 2 for the Private Applicator (farmers, ranchers and nursery operators/workers)

• 2 for the Ornamental & Turf (nurseries and golf courses)

• 2 for core 482

• 2 for Commercial Pesticide Control Applicator (PCO)

• 2 for the Limited Lawn & Ornamental (Institutional workers)

• 2 for Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance (known as the” round up” applicator license)

• 2 for the Limited Urban Fertilizer Applicator.
