Green Growth Toolbox Workshop
Overview
NC Wildlife Resources Commission's Green Growth Toolbox Workshop
Join us at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts to learn about regional conservation priorities and how to integrate conservation science, data, and other mapping tools into land use and transportation planning. The workshop will cover priority species and habitats for the Piedmont of North Carolina, conservation-based land use and transportation plans, effective conservation policies, ordinances, and incentives to encourage centralized growth patterns and avoid sprawl. Participants will be introduced to the NC Natural Heritage Program Data Explorer and will practice interpreting conservation date through a hands-on exercise.
All our welcome - local and regional government planning staff, parks and recreation staff, advisory board members, elected officials, conservation professionals, and interested community members are all invited.
For more information about the Green Growth Toolbox, please visit our website: https://www.ncwildlife.gov/ggt or contact Brooke Massa, brooke.massa@ncwildlife.gov
