Ready to be a force for environmental change?

🎉 We are excited to host you for the seventh cleanup and workshop covering the importance of the Economy in environmental sustainability, on Saturday, December 13th at Bonnie Wenk Park and City Hall, McKinney. This workshop is part of the Green Ambassador Certificate 12-module community education series.

Hear from industry experts Prof. @John McCaskill and @Philip Samson, engage in interactive exercises, and explore real-world solutions. A green economy is defined by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), as low carbon, resource efficient and socially inclusive. In a green economy, growth in employment and income are driven by public and private investment into economic activities, infrastructure and assets that allow reduced carbon emissions, waste and pollution, enhanced energy and resource efficiency, and prevention of the loss of biodiversity, across the full life cycle of processes and products. These green investments need to be enabled and supported through targeted public expenditure, policy reforms and changes in taxation and regulation. promotes a sustainable development path.

📖 Join anytime! While in-person is preferred, if you miss a class, you can watch the recording.
✅ Monthly Classes: Every 2nd Saturday, 10:30–11:30 AM.
✅ Refreshments: Light refreshments served at workshop venue, bring a reusable bottle of water 9:30-10:30 AM.
✅ Community Cleanups: Same day, 8:30–9:30 AM.
