About this Event

You might have heard about GraphQL and it’s tremendous rise in popularity. If you’ve worked with APIs before and have a basic understanding of how the web works - this meetup is for you!

In this class, we’ll introduce what GraphQL is and how it differs from REST. We’ll talk about queries, mutations and subscriptions and walk through how to set up a GraphQL server and how to make HTTP requests to a GraphQL endpoint. We’ll discuss what the GraphQL ecosystem looks like and talk about modern client-side libraries like Relay and Apollo Client.

Who is this meetup for:

You’ve made API requests before using JavaScript and have a basic understanding of how the web works.
