We will cover the essential elements of proposal writing including how best to describe your work, create context, and make a compelling case for funding.

ABOUT TRACIE HOLDER
​Tracie Holder is a filmmaker turned consultant, producer and engagement campaign specialist. She is widely regarded as a “go-to” person and all-round resource for artists seeking U.S. funding having raised $2 million for her own projects from a mix of government funders, private foundations and individuals. Clients include Women Make Movies, Active Voice, European Documentary Network, DocNomads and the Made in NY Media Center. Holder leads workshops in the U.S. and abroad, tutors and serves on juries at international pitching and training sessions. She is a former board member of NY Women in Film & Television and Manhattan Neighborhood Network, a recent member of the Film Fatales and grant panelist for national and local funders. Holder is the co-producer/director/writer of Joe Papp in Five Acts, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and screened at more than 40 festivals internationally. The film will broadcast nationally on PBS/American Masters in 2016. She is currently producing Mudflow, a feature documentary set in Indonesia, co-directed by Academy Award-winner Cynthia Wade and Sasha Friedlander, Executive Producer, Abby Disney.

ABOUT THE ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAM
We are proud to offer selected topics from PDP workshops to the general public through the Online Learning Program. We are dedicated to extending our reach to artists who are new to Creative Capital’s professional development offerings, as well as those PDP alumni who are interested in a refresher course. Many of these courses are designed for individual artists of all disciplines, while others will be discipline-specific.

Most Online Learning sessions will be approximately 90 minutes in duration, including lecture and Q&A sessions. Webinars are taught and moderated live by talented workshop leaders, so the information is always up-to-date and engaging. Q&A sessions are included to be sure that all our participants have the chance to follow up on specific concerns.
