Why do I need the expert advice of a grant writer?

You are competing against applicants who are utilizing experts. You need the strategies that compel funders to focus on you. You need to set the standard against which your competitors will fail to measure up.

Why isn't a simple description of my business good enought?

Grant writing is its own skill set. You can't just copy information off of your website or brochure. You have a few sentences to gain the attention of your funders and keep it. You must demonstrate insight into the issues your funders are targeting and your superior capacity to address them.

Why have my past grant applications been rejected?

You can't just talk about yourself. Applications need to align your goals with those of your funders and reflect your expertise in addressing those goals with success.

Where does grant money come from?

Foundations and government entities have goals to develop the economy, provide social services, increase jobs and manufacturing, strengthen our infrastructure, and enrich our daily lives. They earmark money to support businesses and nonprofits that address those goals.
