Grant Park Meditation: Sunday Mindfulness Meditation Basics in Atlanta
Overview
You are invited to try practicing meditation! Calm down, relax, focus, concentrate, be aware, and see things as they truly are.
One Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm is a Dharma talk (~ 1 hour), followed by meditation (~ 15 minutes).
Usually the first or second Sunday of the month is basic guided meditation at 2pm, with instructions, stretches, and sitting and walking meditation, or soundbath (relax with the singing bowls) ending around 3pm.
All are welcome to both of these events, in English.

Plus a special One-Day Buddhist Camp/Retreat! Saturday November 15 @ 9am, all welcome, kids and adults groups, free, but please register in advance
Wednesday night talk: Join us for an enlightening Dharma talk with Geshe Ngawang Phende, a renowned teacher from the Drepung Loseling Monastery, who will guide us on transforming negative emotions. Meditation and mindfulness is a tool to help us on the path towards relieving the sufferings of life by changing our mindset, discovering our inner self, and realizing reality.
Note: Dec 10 will be Venerable Priya, Buddhist chaplain at Emory University.
Atlanta Grant Park Meditation is based at Chua Quang Minh, one of ATL's oldest Buddhist temples. We blend ancient wisdom with modern practices to bring peace to our fast-paced community. Everyone is welcome to attend, and events are offered for free. This program is suitable for people of any - or no - religious belief. Beginners welcome! Please wear appropriate attire for a church or religious space.
