Join California College of the Arts (CCA) Master of Design: Interaction Design (MDes) for their virtual program information session to learn more about the curriculum, and general scope of the program. Elena Pacenti (Program Director of Graduate Interaction Design) will present an overview of all aspects of the program, the college, and the focus of the work happening at CCA. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.

CCA's Masters of Design - Interaction Design (MDes) program is a one-year deep dive into the different concepts of Interaction Design and how they can be applied to real world problems outside of UX/UI. MDes promotes a focus on social good, and using IxD in experimental ways. Hosted in the heart of San Francisco's technology boom, the MDes is project focused, collaborative, and explores human/computer interaction (HCI).

Elena Pacenti has over three decades of experience leading cutting-edge design research projects and establishing innovative education programs at international design schools.

After earning her PhD research at the Polytechnic University of Milan, she joined Domus Academy, where she directed the Research Center, the Master in Service & Experience Design, and the Design Department. She then established the School of Design at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design in San Diego.

She has also focused much of her career on pioneering work in the field of design for services and advocated for the strategic value of design and the arts in organizations such as Service Design Network, Design Forward, and Future of Design Education.

Please note that CCA's MDes program is not a UI/UX boot camp and not appropriate for students who do not have a foundational knowledge in IxD.
