Grab the Key is Movement Mortgage’s initiative focused on expanding Black homeownership through education, access, and trusted community partnerships. With homeownership rates in the Black community still far below national averages, many families remain stuck in the rent cycle simply because they lack clear information, support, or upfront resources.

This event brings that support directly to Baltimore.

Attendees will learn practical steps for preparing to buy a home — from budgeting and credit to mortgage basics and the full homebuying journey. You’ll also gain access to resources that may include first-time homebuyer products, potential closing cost assistance (for qualifying borrowers), and connections to local rent-to-own pathways when available.

In collaboration with Find a Black Agent, this event also connects you with trusted real estate professionals who already serve the community, ensuring guidance that is culturally informed, relevant, and rooted in long-standing relationships.
