Description

The Grosse Pointe Historical Society announces a new series of programs available to the public, Pop-Up Programs!

The inaugural program will feature new Grosse Pointe Park resident, Tony Kartsonas, owner and founder of Historic Surfaces. Tony has more than 20 years of experience and involvement with 80 significant projects listed on the National register or as National Landmarks and is an expert in projects involving architectural conservation and the restoration and conservation of painted surfaces, wood finishes, plaster and murals. His skills include gilding, glazing, poly-chroming, stenciling, trompe l’oeil, faux marbleizing, Venetian plaster and wood finishing.
Tony will give a presentation titled "Intorduction to Historic Paint and Traditional House Painiting" which will cover historic finishes and how they have evolved.
