Sharon Heaton, CEO, sbLiftOff

Sharon Heaton has sold companies at $12 billion and lower-midmarket companies, including a focus on GovCon businesses. “sbLiftOff brings the highest level of professionalism to business owners in the lower mid-market,” says Heaton. Prior to founding sb LiftOff, Ms. Heaton served as General Counsel of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and Senior Counsel on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. She was a co-founder of Welford Energy, an investment bank providing services to clean energy and low carbon companies. Previously, Heaton served as Deputy General Counsel of Columbia Energy Group, a Fortune 500 company. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School and a B.A. magna cum laude in Political Science from Barnard College at Columbia University.

Erin Andrews, Managing Director, Live Oak Bank

Erin Andrew works with Live Oak Bank’s team of government contract financing experts to fuel GovCon owners through contract mobilization, acquisition strategies to gain past performance, providing working capital and helping GovCon owners transfer their companies successfully. Ms. Andrews served in senior roles at the SBA for six years. She also served as Associate Administrator for Capital Access, overseeing lending efforts that included $100 billion of government loan programs for small businesses. At the SBA, Andrews held positions at the SBA’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership and at the SBA’s office of Entrepreneurial Development. Prior to her work at the SBA, Erin was a senior policy analyst at the National Governors Association and senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.  Erin holds a B.S. in business administration and ethics, and an M.S. in public policy and management, both from Carnegie Mellon University.

Cy Alba, Partner, PilieroMazza

Cy Alba counsels clients in a broad range of government contracting matters before government agencies, and Federal courts which includes overall regulatory compliance with all of the SBA’s Small Business programs.  Mr. Alba represents small and mid-sized companies looking to structure compliant teaming, joint venture, and mentor-protégé agreements. Mr. Alba works closely with our Corporate Group and has extensive experience structuring Mergers and Acquisitions transactions, corporate restructurings, and partner buy-outs ranging from small transactions to single acquisitions valued at $100M to ensure they meet the corporate needs and are compliant with Federal procurement laws and regulations.  Mr. Alba holds a Juris Doctorate and graduated cum laude from Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of America.
