If Warehouse Liquors is known for one thing, it's Gene, and if Gene is known for one thing, it's a focus on flavor over brands. Some of you will have had a chance to sit down for "The Gene Show" where he sits at his magic desk and pours teeny samples out of view and asks you "Do you like it?" Well we want to bring this experience to you on a slightly larger scale, with some rare bottles, and, sadly, without Gene.
Join us for the first of what will be a recurring, bimonthly event, Going in Blind. We will pour three of the whiskies pictured above, plus three Warehouse Liquors store picks, but we will not tell you what's what. It will be up to you and your palates to decide what you like, not what the bottle looks like. The rare whiskies we're pouring are ones you'd have to hunt or pay a secondary market price for, but the store picks will be available to purchase on the night. No hunting, no secondary markup, just good whiskey at a good price.
We think this is a very fun way to approach tasting whisky, and as such we want to offer this experience at a more approachable price, $99 for six 3/4 oz pours. The rare whiskies alone would set you back over $100 to try together at a bar, if you could find them, to say nothing of the store picks which of course are only available here. This will be a recurring event, every other month as new shiny releases come out and more store picks land. Moving forward we hope to introduce you to new scotch, tequila and mezcal in the same fashion!
Whisky tasting starts at 6:30p sharp but please arrive at 6:00 as we'll have pizza from D'Amato's and beer from our friends at Off Color Brewing
