GOATMAN'S CAMP FEAR (SPOOKY EVENT & PARTY)
Come join us at the historic and haunted Linville Manor for a spooktacular night of fun! With ticket, guests will enjoy fortunetelling, two specialty drink tickets, s'mores station and firepits, petrifying dance performances in our boathouse, slasher flicks and popcorn, creepy crafts, a fearsome photobooth session with the goatman, gruesome yard games, and a mystery walkthrough experience inside Linville Manor. Followed by a Moonlight Dance Party! Hear fated legends form past counselors and real ghost stories attached to the property. Also it's camp, so you can earn merit badges to be entered for prizes.
There will also be a food truck on site with full menu.
This year's theme is "CAMP FEAR"... so come in your most creative and terrifiying camp attire... think bigfoot, Jason Vohees, creepy woods, etc ... BUT ALL COSTUMES ARE WELCOME. Dress to impress, prizes for costumes as well.
Guests will explore the grounds and mansion, so PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES.
No smoking or vaping allowed in the mansion; however, outside the home is fine.
There will be a designated smoking area off the porch.
There will be plenty of parking onsite. Please park along hillside and perimeter of property on street side of mansion. Guests cannot block circle drive.
Guests can expect darker conditions and some steps inside the manor.
GUEST MUST SIGN A WAIVER UPON ARRIVAL BEFORE BEGINNING ACTVIITIES AT THE EVENT.
BACKSTORY to CAMP FEAR:
Camp Fear was started by Phineous and Pheona Fear in 1925. They said it was their own "fountain of youth" and for years they've welcomed many a new campter to the grounds for seasons of fun. The number one rule of the camp has always been "don't go into the woods at night" because according to camp fire legend, a Goatman (among other terrors) prowls the woods in search of victims or to make dasderly deals with those weak souls willing...
Myths aside, all has been great until it began to be observed that every few years a camper would die or go missing under... mysterious circumstances... and more unusual, in all their years of running the camp, Phineous and Pheona Fear never seemed to age???
But this year marks the 100th Anniversary of the camp and on this biggest night of celebration, the Fears have been no where in sight. Regardless of their absence, some of the camp's finest councelors have made arrangements to host this year's recruitment camp to select the newest sacrafices... that is, those willing to sacrafice thier summers for endless fun!
There's clearly nothing to fear at Camp Fear, so welcome new counselor recruits (YOU)!
