Nithya will guide a class of child and caregiver duos through three different recipes. Portions of the class will include hands-on activity and of course, you'll enjoy all three dishes!
What's on the menu?
- Mint Chutney - used as a dipping sauce or drizzle on veggies
- Papdi Chaat - an Indian Street Food snack that's similar to a plate of nachos
- Trifle Cups - a yummy dessert of cake, pudding, jam and fruit
The class is geared toward children age 8 - 12 that show an interest in cooking and are open to trying new foods.
Total price of $35 for this class covers 1 child and 1 caregiver. Adults - please addd your name for the first ticket and the child for the second ticket.
About the Instructor
Nithya Krishnan’s journey as a self-taught cook started very early in her life. As a teenager, she took over kitchen responsibilities for her mother’s catering business while doubling as a preschool teacher. Nithya conducts private cooking lessons on demand featuring multi cuisine menus from around the world . She has currently embarked on a small food service venture dubbed “CoolDesiAunty Kitchen” in Painted Post, NY. But her passion for helping people learn about food culture is still going strong . She believes that anyone can master a recipe if they have the interest, the patience, and the open-minded palate! Nithya teaches all ages, and for her youth culinary classes hopes to get kids excited about cooking!
