Looking for a unique and memorable date idea? Consider spending an afternoon glazing handcrafted ceramic mugs. It's a hands-on, creative experience that allows you to connect and have fun while creating something beautiful.

What to Bring

We Bring the Glaze and You Bring The Graze

Everything you need to glaze your mugs will be provided...right down to the glaze!

Bring your favorite grazing snacks and beverages to complete your afternoon date experience. We kindly ask that your beverages be non-alcoholic.

What to Expect

  • Arrival: Please arrive before or at 2 pm. Instruction will start at about 2:15 pm. Please arrive in time to check in, gather your materials, and pick a seat!
  • Guided Instruction: Joy Singleton of Joy Arabella Studio will guide you through the glazing process, ensuring you understand techniques and have a fun experience. Each participant will be able to glaze with one color.
  • Glazes: The color choices for the class will be white, black, blue, light blue, teal, red, purple, yellow, pink, and olive green. Everyone will be able to choose ONE color and ONE layering color.
  • You can apply the glazes in different ways, allowing you to customize your pieces to your liking.
  • Personalized Pieces to Keep: The mugs you glaze will be kept and fired. You'll receive an email in about 2 weeks, letting you know they're ready for pickup.

Tips for a Successful Glazing Date

  • Wear Comfortable Clothing: While glazing isn't overly messy, it's best to wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit of glaze on. There will be aprons available for those that want one.
  • Be Patient: The glazing process can take time, so enjoy the experience without rushing.
  • Communicate: Feel free to discuss your ideas with each other! If you have any questions about the process, Joy will be happy to answer them and offer creative guidance.

**Each participant needs their own ticket.**
