Glass Terrarium Workshop – Build a Self-Sustaining Mini Ecosystem

By The Pour Haus by Rusted Element Design

Overview

Build your own enclosed glass terrarium in this beginner-friendly workshop. Choose your vessel, plants, textures, and springtails.

Create your own enclosed, self-sustaining terrarium in this hands-on workshop at The Pour Haus. Guest instructor Adelaide of Fancy Plants Seattle will guide you through designing and assembling a tiny living ecosystem—complete with plants, substrate layers, textures, and springtails to keep it healthy over time.

Terrariums require no watering and very little care, making them perfect for desks, shelves, or gifting. You’ll choose from a selection of thrifted glass vessels and create a fully enclosed world that grows and maintains itself.

All experience levels are welcome. This workshop is all ages, though some hand dexterity and patience are helpful.

Included:
• Thrifted glass vessel of your choosing
• Plants, substrate, moss, and decorative textures
