Giving Thanks as a Community Practice
By Minority Veterans of America
Overview
Designed for: Community Members, Community Providers, Employers, Educators and Students
Gratitude is often hailed as a holiday practice, despite lots of evidence to suggest it’s a useful tool all year round. In this workshop, we’ll look at gratitude and giving thanks as methods for creating stronger community bonds and more equitable foundations.
Participants will:
- Talk through what the benefits of gratitude are for your mental and emotional health.
- Learn ways of practicing gratitude in your everyday life for yourself, and for those you work with.
- Leave with some methods, tips, and tricks for embedding gratitude in your organizations and interactions.
