Give Warmth DC 2026: MLK Day of Service
Now in its 4th year, Give Warmth DC brings together volunteers, community partners, and supporters to serve our DC neighbors experiencing homelessness during one of the coldest times of the year.
Our mission is simple: to give warmth, love, and dignity through care bags filled with essential items and personal touches that remind our unhoused neighbors they are not forgotten.
This year, we’re expanding our impact with the Denim Drive — collecting new and gently used jeans of all sizes, one of the most requested clothing items for those experiencing homelessness. Denim donations will be distributed directly through our local shelter partners, including the Harriet Tubman Women’s Shelter and New York Avenue Men’s Shelter.
Ways to Participate
💛 Volunteer – Register to serve with us on January 17. The $50 registration includes your contribution toward event costs, breakfast refreshments, and the supplies used for Give Warmth Bags. Kids are welcome and are free with a registered Adult.
