Learning Summary: This learning event meets the NV Registry criteria for basic level wellness training. Participants are introduced to current and evidence-based wellness information applicable to children ages 1-5. They build around their understanding to nurture healthy eaters among the children; and demonstrate healthy physical habits as incorporated into the children's routines.
Learning Outcomes:
1 . Learners will outline current and evidence-based information about physical activity, nutrition, and obesity prevention as it pertains to children 1-5 years old.
2 . Learners will describe structured/unstructured activities; reading properly nutrition labels; and obesity prevention and its connection to healthy eating habits and lifestyle.
3 . Learners will demonstrate how to become educators of wellness.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three-question quiz or test at the end of each training.
