Have you been looking for a way to give back? One that’s meaningful, energizing, and surrounded by a community that shares your values?

At Minds Matter Southern California, we support incredible first-generation high school students from low-income backgrounds in getting to and through college. But more than that, we build long-term relationships that change lives (on both sides).

Come join us for a Volunteer Open House at USC Hybrid High School. You’ll hear stories from alumni, learn what volunteering looks like in our community, and discover how you could make a real impact.

Whether you’re curious about mentoring, want to support youth in education, or are just looking for a place to make a difference and feel seen, we’d love to meet you!

Refreshments Provided. Enter parking lot on Leighton Ave. and proceed up the yellow stairs.

Minds Matter Southern California connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities they need to thrive, through college and beyond. Powered by a vibrant community of volunteers, we combine one-on-one mentoring, group instruction, and social-emotional learning to help students gain admission to and succeed in college. Our volunteers provide consistent guidance, open doors to new opportunities, and model what’s possible. Together, we’re building a community where every student is seen, supported, and empowered to create their future and change the world.
