The grand finale of Backroom Boston's Summer of Song series, and Boston Summer Opera's season, is this lighthearted concert celebrating Gilbert & Sullivan — the original masters of musical theater!

If you love Broadway, British humor, or a good pirate song, this one’s for you. Featuring highlights from The Pirates of Penzance performed by the incredible cover artists from Boston Summer Opera’s recent production, plus other favorite selections from G&S’s most beloved comic operas.

Who were Gilbert & Sullivan? A British duo whose clever lyrics and catchy melodies laid the groundwork for modern musicals — blending satire, silliness, and show-stopping tunes.

Expect pirates, patter songs, and plenty of fun in this one-night-only concert of operetta gems.

Light refreshments provided.

🎤 Presented by Backroom Boston, in partnership with Boston Summer Opera and West End Lyric.

All are welcome!
