New to Microsoft Fabric or Power BI? This workshop is the perfect place to start!

This full-day workshop is designed to give you an end-to-end introduction to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, equipping you with the skills and confidence to dive deeper into the world of modern analytics.

We'll start with Microsoft Fabric, exploring some of its core workloads: Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Power BI. You’ll also get hands-on experience using OneLake and Fabric's workloads, seeing firsthand how Fabric’s unified platform simplifies and scales data-driven solutions. We'll have fun with other features of Fabric as well, including User Data Functions and SQL Databases. We'll build out an end-to-end workflow.

Then we’ll shift into Power BI, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of data preparation, modeling, and visualization. Through guided, beginner-friendly exercises, you’ll practice shaping data with Power Query, building relationships, and designing engaging, accessible reports that tell a story.

This session is all about learning by doing. You’ll work through hands-on exercises, ask questions in real time, and leave with practical experience that you can take back to your own projects. By the end of the day, you’ll:

1. Understand how Microsoft Fabric and Power BI work together as part of the analytics ecosystem

2. Gain hands-on experience with Fabric’s core features and Power BI’s essential capabilities
