Getting Selfish: Building A Healthy Self-Advocacy Practice (Early Risers)

Getting Selfish: Building a Healthy Self-Advocacy Practice is an online experience built to help you connect with yourself, understand what you want and need, communicate those things effectively, and back yourself up with your behavior.

Please note that this experince includes TWO group sessions: 9/6 and 9/13, both from 8-10am! This one's for the early risers, starting off two of your Saturday mornings off right.

The experience includes:

• Two live group sessions: You’ll get together with your cohort twice, for two hours each time. The first session will be spent discussing the foundation of selfishness (and why it can be good!), drafting the beginnings of your core values (or refining them, if you’ve already done that work), and planning some serious self-connection time. The second session will be spent matching skills with the work you did in session 1 and after, with time built in to practice so you can feel what great self-advocacy feels like. You’ll leave with the tools and the motivation to make some real change in your life.
• Individual work: Before the first session, you’ll take some time on your own to reflect, set your goals, and learn foundational ideas. Between sessions, you’ll revisit, refine, and start to apply your work from the first session. After the second session, you’ll reflect, plan ahead, and of course, tell me about your experience in the course!
• 1:1 coaching: After your cohort finishes, you’ll have the opportunity to schedule a 1-hour coaching session with me. We’ll pick up right where you are on your journey to continue to strategize how you can self-advocate most effectively based on your current circumstances.
