Learn several techniques for accessing characters that are believable, grounded, and fun to play. Then practice improvising through a character lens, and see how easy it is to create compelling, hilarious scenes that are driven by relationship dynamics.

About your instructor:

Suzi Barrett has been improvising for over 25 years, and teaching improv for 20. A student of iO, The Second City, and UCB, she spent 3 years in Amsterdam performing with Boom Chicago before finally landing in Los Angeles. At UCB LA, she’s taught all levels, and plays with Sentimental Lady and ASSSSCAT. She tours with Ben Schwartz & Friends and Holy Shit Improv, is a frequent guest on Comedy Bang Bang, and hosts the popular improv podcast Yes Also. On TV, she was a series regular on the half-improvised sitcom Just Roll With It, and can also be seen on After Midnight, Drunk History, and a few dozen commercials.
