Getting Down to Business is a three-part webinar series, presented by FCSF and Re-Present Media. The webinars will help filmmakers manage budgeting, accounting, and fiscal sponsorship for their films.

About this workshop:

In the independent film world, fiscal sponsorship plays an important role in helping projects raise capital by providing a tax benefit to donors and funders. Yet sometimes fiscal sponsorship is not completely understood by filmmakers. This workshop will cover:

• the different types of fiscal sponsorship
• what to look for when choosing a fiscal sponsor
• best practices for working with fiscal sponsors from applications to record keeping
• protocols for having both investors and donors contributing through a fiscal sponsor for a project
