Join us for a special Makers Event in East Linton on 16th November to get ready for Christmas and raise vital funds for secondary breast cancer charity Make 2nds Count.

Sign up for an art workshop to learn a new skill and make the perfect personal gift. Stock up on amazing gifts from the fabulous makers market where 20 carefully curated stalls will feature amazing local artists and crafters.

There's also a tombola with amazing prizes from the Makers Market and local artists Kate Henderson, Bonzo Art and East Linton Art Collective. Plus soup, tea, coffee and cakes it will be a grand day out!

The event is kindly supported by Night Owl Books, Traprain Financial and Village Green Gatherings.

Make 2nds Counts is headquartered in Edinburgh and are a UK-wide patient and family focused charity dedicated to giving hope to women and men living with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer.


EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Admission

1.1 Event admission for the Makers’ Market is free and does not require purchase of a ticket.

1.2. Workshops require purchasing a ticket. In order to confirm any booking, payment must be made in full. If payment has not been made, participation in the workshop will not be permitted.

1.3 Refunds - you have seven working days from submission of your payment to cancel your reservation for any reason. Should you wish to do so please request via Eventbrite refund process. Refunds will only cover the face value of the tickets and will not include associated booking fees and/or delivery charge and/or. Refunds can only be claimed by the person who made the booking.

1.4 If the event or a specific workshop is rescheduled, you will be offered an exchange or refund. If the event is cancelled, you will receive a refund.

1.5 The resale of a ticket for commercial gain will invalidate this ticket. Customers should be aware that tickets sold from unofficial sources may not be valid.

1.6 It is illegal to smoke inside the premises. Anyone found smoking will be asked to leave the premises and will not be allowed to return. There will be no refund in this case.

1.7 No food, beverages (including alcohol) or illegal substances, dangerous or hazardous items may be brought into the venue. The organisers reserve to right to refuse entry, or eject, any visitor in these circumstances.

2. Stallholders

2.1 Stalls are confirmed only after full payment. Unpaid bookings may be released without notice. Prices cover the pitch only unless otherwise stated.


2.2 The organisers will only promote stallholders and workshops that have formally agreed to appear. In the event that a stallholder cannot appear at an event due to circumstances beyond our control, no refund or part refund shall be given.


2.3 Stallholders have access for set-up from 8.30AM and should be ready at least 15 minutes before opening time and not tear-down before the end of the market at 4PM.


2.4 Stallholders must hold Public Liability Insurance and supply a certificate on request. Where applicable, traders must hold relevant registrations/certifications (e.g., food business registration, cosmetic product safety assessments, alcohol licences). Food traders must comply with UK food safety & labelling laws (incl. allergen/PPDS requirements). Alcohol sales require appropriate licensing and age-verification systems.


2.5 Fire, Health & Safety: Any electrical items must be PAT-tested (or recently visual-checked if low-risk) and used with cable covers. No open flames indoors (candles, burners). Gas appliances are not permitted inside the Hall. Report hazards, incidents, or near-misses to the Organiser immediately.


2.6 References to the charity Make 2nds Count must be accurate and not imply endorsement of individual stalls or products.


3. Liability

3.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to exclude or to limit in any way any liability which the organisers may have in regard to negligence or for death or personal injury to any person caused by their negligence, for fraud or other wrongful act or omission.

3.2 The organisers accepts no responsibility for any personal property brought to the venue by stallholders, ticket owners or workshop hosts. The Organisers are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to stock, equipment, or personal items. Stallholders are responsible for securing their property and maintaining suitable insurance.


4.Use of Data/Photos/Videos

4.1 The Organiser will process ticketholder and stallholder contact details for event administration and in compliance with GDPR. In purchasing a ticket, you hereby consent that your contact details will be shared with our workshop partner Village Green Gathering for the purposes of marketing and the charity. If you wish to opt out please contact joanne.lacey@make2ndscount.co.uk Data will be retained for 12 months and then deleted.

4.2 The organisers will be taking photos and videos at this event. By virtue of these terms and conditions, stallholders, ticket holders and visitors consent to being photographed, filmed and/or sound recorded for broadcast and/or publication, without payment. Stallholders - if you do not wish your stall to be featured in close-ups, notify the Organiser in advance.

The images/videos will be used for marketing purposes for advertising future fundraising events. Images may be used on press releases, printed publicity, social media and on the charity’s website (www.make2ndscount.co.uk). They will be stored securely, and we will delete them after they are no longer needed for publicity purposes. 4.3 Photographic and recording equipment may be used by ticket holders only for personal use only and not for commercial gain.
