Event description

Description

Tom Kompare, a web applications developer and Polsky mentor, will walk you through getting a web application launched using Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Elastic Beanstalk. Together, we will customize a simple web application, start up a web application environment on AWS, and launch our code. The build and launch process you will learn applies to small proof-of-concepts and to full blown production environments. Be ready to get your hands dirty: bring your laptop and your own Amazon account (sign up at aws.amazon.com).

Lunch will be served.
