About this Event

DESCRIPTION

Join us as we take a look at modern commercial BAS basics including architecture, networks, controllers, programming tools, and user interface. SPEAKER

Joe Zhou, Senior Researcher, Slipstream

Joe is a Senior Researcher at Slipstream with more than 25 years of experience in commercial building energy efficiency with focus on building controls as a design and application engineer, researcher, and project/program/facility manager. Joe is a member of ASHRAE and AEE, and actively involved in ASHRAE Technical Committee TC 1.4 Control Theory and Applications and TC 7.5 Smart Building Systems. He is a voting member of ASHRAE Guideline Project Committee GPC 36 “High-Performance Sequences of Operation for HVAC Systems. He holds B.S. (Zhejiang University) and M.S. (University of Connecticut) degrees in Electrical Engineering, and a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Iowa State University.) Joe’s past working experiences include engineer at Johnson Controls and researcher & program manager at Iowa Energy Center.
