Get Crafty: A Signmaking Workshop for Creatives

Ever wanted to see your favorite words turned into art you can display or gift? Bring your laptop, your favorite quote, and let’s make something special together.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to design a meaningful sign in Illustrator or Figma, cut your creation into vinyl using a cutting machine (my Cricut), get practical weeding tips, and choose from a variety of (small to medium sized) signage materials to assemble your finished piece on to take home with you. Whether it ends up in your office, kitchen, or gifted to a friend, it’ll be something you created from start to finish. All ages and experience levels are welcome (and yes, it’s going to be fun)!

All signage materials included – just bring your laptop with either Adobe Illustrator or Figma (offers a free plan) ready to go!

Hi, I’m Michelle Roberts :) Artist, designer, and founder of Fior Design Studio.

I create custom wedding stationery and signage that tells a couple’s story through thoughtful design and tactile beauty. From invitation suites to welcome signs, bar menus, ceremony programs, and every printed detail in between, I treat each piece as part of a cohesive visual experience—one that’s both deeply personal and beautifully polished.

As a fellow creative, I know the joy of seeing your vision come to life on paper. That’s why I’m excited to open up my process and invite you into the world of wedding signmaking: from typography and visual flow, to materials and vinyl application tips. Whether you’re a designer, artist, or just sign-curious, this workshop is designed to give you hands-on insights, practical tips, and a dose of inspiration.
