Gestalt Language Processing

Gestalt Language Processing

By Neurodevelopmental Service - CYP NHSL

Overview

This is a workshop for parents/carers of children of all ages that learn language in 'chunks' or phrases rather than individual words.

Children who are Gestalt Language Processors often use short learnt repetitive phrases, echolalia or chunks of language to communicate. This workshop will explore this presentation and provide parents with some strategies to support children with this profile.

Our workshops are specifically for parents/carers of children either on the Neurodevelopmental Service waiting list or who have children recently diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental condition. They are for families living in Lanarkshire and are parent only, therefore, no children are permitted to attend. Please purchase 1 ticket per attendee so we know capacity for venues. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you.
