A lunchtime discussion about GIS (Geographic Information Systems).

About this event

Join us for a lunchtime discussion about GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and geospatial inquiry. Topics include research, instruction, upcoming events, and collaborations at UCR. A brief presentation is often included.

UCR affiliates from all disciplines and departments, at all skill levels, are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Zoom information will be emailed to registered participants before the meetup begins.

All participants are expected to follow and uphold UC Riverside's Principles of Community.

Tentative topics for presentations:

  • October 14 - GIS Faculty Panel, with Q&A
  • November 10 - History Professor David Biggs
  • December 9 - Teaching GIS in non-STEM classes
