Continuous advancement in technology has led to innovation in nearly every aspect of society. It has also exposed numerous new risks and threats to the state, to commerce, and to the individual. What is the nature of these security threats? What is being done about them? What can we as individuals do protect ourselves? Join the Georgetown Technology Alliance for a discussion of these questions and more as we take a deeper look at the cybersecurity landscape and issues that transcend all facets of life in today’s information age.


Alex Doll, Founder and Managing General Partner of Ten Eleven Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on investing in security. Alex sits on a number of boards for leading IT Security Software and System Companies and was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of PGP Corp., a leader in encryption and data protection technology (acq by Symantec).

Ryan Gillis (C'00), Vice President, Cyber Security Strategy & Global Policy at Palo Alto Networks, serving as the company’s point of contact for public policy and legislative matters and working closely with government agencies around the world to assist in the development of strategies and partnerships to prevent cybersecurity threats. Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, he was the Director of Legislative Affairs and Cybersecurity Policy for the National Security Council at the White House.

Ravi Devireddy, Founder and CTO of E8 Security, a company enabling enterprises to detect advanced targeted attacks and insider threats. Prior to founding E8 Security, Ravi was the head of Visa Inc.’s Cybersecurity Program.

Eric Davis, Senior PM for Android Security at Google, has held many positions at Google over the past decade including Global Public Policy Manager. Eric founded both Google’s Anti-Malvertising and Trust & Safety Teams. He has co-author of 3 security-related patents and is a board member of the National Cyber Security Alliance. His experience prior to Google includes international trust and safety product management at eBay, and international product expansion at Netscape.
