Q. What should I bring with me on the tour?

A. We suggest bringing a flashlight—more is better, but please avoid shining it at private homes! If needed, bring an umbrella, wear comfortable walking shoes (it’s only a mile from start to finish), and consider insect repellent. And don’t forget to keep an open mind!

Q. Can we bring our own ghost hunting equipment?

Accepted Answer

A. Yes! While you may get the chance to try out some of the ghost hunting equipment that our guides bring along, we highly encourage amateur ghost hunters to bring their own equipment for the best experience. You will get several opportunities to conduct your own brief investigations on the tour.

Q. What can we expect to see on the tour?

A. What you see is completely dependent on your willingness to explore the unknown! Along your tour of Historic Downtown Georgetown, you will get the chance to get up close & personal with its darker history and step inside paranormal hotspots. Capture your experience with your smartphones/cameras!

Q. I'm a psychic/medium/empath, should I be aware of anything before the tour?

A. Please inform your guide of any paranormal sensitivities you might have before you begin the tour. They will be able to give you a heads up or assist you if any part of the tour becomes difficult for you.

Q. Are tips accepted by tour guides?

Accepted Answer

A. Yes, please do tip your guide at the end of the tour! We are very lucky to have highly experienced mediums, psychics & veteran paranormal investigators guiding our tours and we want to make sure we support their hard work investigating all of Georgetown's paranormal phenomena. Cash is preferred!

Q. I have mobility issues, will this affect my tour experience?

Accepted Answer

A. The short answer is yes. While the entirety of Main Street Georgetown can be traversed by wheelchair, some stops and building interiors may be impossible to enter or navigate if you have mobility challenges. Georgetown After Dark staff will be present to assist guests throughout the experience.

Q. Does this count as a visit for my Kentucky After Dark Passport?

Accepted Answer

A. Yes! Kentucky After Dark Passports will be available at the beginning & end of the tour. Simply ask one of our Georgetown After Dark staff for a sticker to fill out Georgetown on your passport.

Question 8

Q. When should I arrive for the tour?

Accepted Answer

A. Try to arrive at minimum 15 minutes early. This will give you time to find parking, use the restroom and fully enjoy your spooky-themed cocktail. If the provided drink is not to your taste, you may also wish to order another at your own expense. Please arrive earlier if you plan on ordering food.

Q. Are children allowed on this experience?

Accepted Answer

A. No. All Georgetown After Dark participants must be aged 21+ or older. Plan for an adult environment as you enjoy your cocktails and explore haunted Downtown Georgetown. Our tour guides may also occasionally use crass language or curse during the experience.
