About this event
Headliner - George Ducas
George Ducas’ new album, Long Way From Home, blends the Dust Bowl reveries of classic country, the energy of early Bakersfield sound, and modern honky-tonk vibes. His seamless fusion of these elements creates a unique sound that feels like history in the making. A seasoned songwriter with multiple hits under his belt—including “Lipstick Promises” and songs recorded by George Jones, Garth Brooks, and The Chicks—Ducas now teams up with producer Pete Anderson. Together, they’ve crafted an album that pushes country music forward while respecting its roots, offering a bold new chapter in Ducas' already impressive career.
Born in Galveston, Texas, and raised in Southern California, Ducas was drawn to music from an early age. After moving to Nashville, he quickly made his mark with chart-topping hits and a growing list of songwriting credits. His latest album captures a fresh, invigorating take on country, influenced by both Texas honky-tonks and the California sound. Working with Anderson, known for his work with Dwight Yoakam and Lucinda Williams, Ducas has created a powerful, heartfelt album that showcases his talent as an artist and storyteller. With Long Way From Home, Ducas has arrived at the pinnacle of his career, merging past influences with his own unique sound, marking a new era in country music.
