This gentle yoga class is perfect for everyone, especially those with limited mobility, arthritis, injuries, or chronic pain.

In this class, you can choose to be on the floor or seated and all postures can be modified. Chairs can be utilized for seated poses, resting, and stabilizing. You will be guided through a series of movements, with emphasis on steady breathing, proper alignment, and self-awareness.

All ages, body types and abilities are welcome.


NOTICE OF TWO PROGRAM POLICY: Community Health Education Center (CHEC) programs are designed to be the first step on the path of your continued wellness journey. To ensure we can continue serving our community in this role, participants of this program are only eligible to attend for a total of two (2) series. Following completion of the second series, the participant will no longer be able to attend the same program but may attend other CHEC programing. Please contact the CHEC with questions about this policy.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring any equipment? What should I wear?

All equipment is provided. We just ask that you wear comfortable clothes that allow movement and closed-toed shoes (closed-toed shoes are required at all times in the class).

Should I bring a water bottle from home?

We recommend bringing your own water bottle. There will not be water available in the classroom, however, the cafeteria located on the first floor has a water and ice station and provides small cups at no cost. Water bottles are also available for purchase from the cafeteria or vending machines.

Will my insurance cover this class?

The CHEC is not able to accept medical insurance. However, some insurance companies may offer a reimbursement for this class. Please contact your insurance provider for more information about reimbursements.

How often does this class meet?

The class meets twice per week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays) for six weeks.
