Gentle Yoga for All with Rev Shelley Dungan at Norman Bird Sanctuary

We invite you to join us many Saturday & Wednesday mornings (weather permitting) from 10:00-11:15 outdoors for these unique, slow-paced, inspiring yoga classes where the sense of community is strong and truly heart-warming. Come, find your inner sacred center in a supportive, welcoming, nature-centered atmosphere. These classes are designed to be accessible for everyone in good general health regardless of yoga experience. This all-levels gentle class will include inspiring readings and yoga poses that emphasize developing strength, flexibility, balance, relaxation and connection with Nature. Please wear comfy athletic clothing, bring your yoga mat, a large thick blanket, water, sunscreen, bug spray.

 Welcome to The Sacred Center

We are an inclusive, life affirming, interfaith, yoga-based community on Aquidneck Island in Rhode Island devoted to helping people find their sacred center within. Our goal is to offer programming that is deeply nurturing for people of all ages, all genders, all abilities and from every spiritual orientation.

Indoor classes are held year round at the state of the art Common Fence Point Community Center in Portsmouth as well as the historic and picturesque Mabel's Studio on the grounds of the Norman Bird Sanctuary. Outdoor classes are held all Summer long on the lawn and in the garden at the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, RI.

We offer yoga on demand via our YouTube channel and commUNITY gatherings of various sorts. Wherever and however you connect with us, you will be welcomed into an atmosphere of kindness, love, compassion and acceptance. We hope to offer you encouragement on your journey.
