Although the year 2020 marks the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment ensuring women’s right to vote, womxn of color weren’t officially allowed to exercise their right to vote until the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Throughout history, Americans have fought tirelessly for womxn’s equality and racial justice, and today continue to mobilize and seek justice.

To mark this International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, Oxfam America's Action Fund convenes a conversation on womxn’s leadership and active citizenship. They invite us to gather for a conversation with womxn changemakers in all positions and in a diversity of movements—elected officials, youth activists and artists, poets, and organizers.

Hear stories and visions of change from womxn leaders and youth activists, and engage with the creation of communal artwork as well as different models for participating in political and community action. Connect with womxn leaders and stay informed on issues of gender equality, poverty, climate justice, human rights, refugees and migration, and more. Come together to take part in a mission to ensure dignity for all and encourage action on some of the most important issues of our time.
