About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes
  • UNDER 18 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN
  • Free venue parking

During this half-day afternoon workshop you will be taught gelli plate basics and learn how to layer colour and texture using botanical material (pressed leaves) to produce interesting effects. You will come away with a variety of prints to frame or use in your own work.

The workshop is for all skill levels – from complete beginners to experienced artists who would like to try a new technique.

I recommend you bring an apron with you as gelli printing can be messy and it’s almost impossible to remove dried acrylic paint from your clothes, all other materials and equipment are supplied.

See you there!

⭐I am also running a Transfers workshop in the morning - you can book both workshops for a slightly reduced cost (see other listing)

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have art skills?

No, gelli printing is a fun technique that needs no prior art knowledge or skills. Just a willingness to 'play' as the results are unpredictable and wonderfully unique.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

It's always a good idea to bring an apron with you as gelli printing uses acrylics which can be a bit messy and hard to get out of your clothes. Other than that I supply everything else you might need.

Can children attend this workshop?

Children over 10 years have been great at gelli printing and are welcome on this workshop as long as they are accompanied by an adult who can support them and has also bought a ticket.
