Join Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center artists Betty Anderson and Sulynn Creswell for a two-day immersive quilting workshop inspired by the legacy of Gee’s Bend, Alabama. Rooted in Civil Rights history and Black folk artistry, this workshop is more than stitching—it’s a celebration of story, resilience, and cultural expression.
Over two days, you’ll be guided in creating your own insured wall quilt using techniques passed down through generations. The experience also includes a pop-up art sale, an intimate dinner with Betty and Sulynn, and a beautiful quilt show honoring the Gee’s Bend tradition. Whether you're a seasoned quilter or a first-timer, this powerful artistic journey welcomes all.
Let’s gather, stitch, and share in this unforgettable Napa Valley creative retreat.
Attendees bring the following:
- Scissors
- Quilting needles
- Fabric Tac glue
- Any vintage fabrics you’d like to incorporate into the wall quilt
