This class explores the rich cultural and spiritual significance of the Gede spirits within Haitian dance traditions. Rooted in Vodou practice, Gede embodies both reverence and playfulness, reminding us of the cycles of life, death, and renewal. Participants will learn folkloric movement vocabulary, gestures, and rhythms that reflect the humor, irreverence, and vitality of the Gede. from zarenyen , maskawon to Banda . Open to all levels, the class creates a space to honor ancestral memory while engaging in a joyful and liberating dance experience.
