About this event

  • Event lasts 9 hours 30 minutes

Gator Grill Masters is a day-long program developed to help consumers achieve a better eating experience centered around cooking meat on the grill. It is an event we built with adults in mind, but all ages are welcome. We will talk about grilling concepts and grill features, meat selection and grading, making spice blends and marinades, and answer those burning questions you may have. All participants will get to create their own spice mix to season and then cook their own steak on a grill of their choice.

What will participants leave with?

  • A kitchen reference manual
  • A ThermoPop fine tip thermometer
  • A spice mix you created
  • Tricks and tips to make better grilling decisions to get better value and have a better eating experience.
  • More confidence in your ability to prepare meat on the grill for family and friends.

For individuals with disabilities, please contact Jason Scheffler (jmscheff@ufl.edu; 352-392-9155) at least five working days prior to the event and consideration can be given to the request.
