Gathering Scores: A Learning Library

Presented by the UF Center for Arts, Migration, and Entrepreneurship (CAME); Pulp Arts; and Found Sound Nation

This event is co-sponsored by the UF Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere

Join us for a three-part hybrid series (in-person and online) exploring the role of artists in shaping creative ecosystems and civic life. Whether you’re attending on-site in Gainesville or tuning in from afar, you’ll connect with the local creative community, SPARC352 summer residents, and members of Found Sound Nation’s global artist network.

Framed as a learning library, each gathering includes guest speakers, participatory exercises, and collective reflection—offering tools, stories, and frameworks to imagine new cultural futures.

Together, we’ll co-create a collaborative zine with Gainesville’s Sequential Artists Workshop, documenting the ideas and practices that emerge.

Please note that once you RSVP for this event we will send you a link to join online for all three sessions, as well as followup details of the in-person component

Frequently asked questions

Is this event online or in-person?

Both! This is a hybrid event where a cohort of Gainesville cultural community will gather in-person and an international cohort of artists, organizers and thinkers will be joining via Zoom

Do I have to attend all three sessions?

No you do not - but if you can make all three we would love that!

How will we make a collective zine?

The sessions will be co-facilitated alongside Sequential Artist Workshop and a zine maker who will lead the group in a number of creative exercises. Folks will be invited to submit what they make for inclusion in a final curated zine.

What will happen to this zine?

There will be a limited print run of the zine and it will also be published in a digital format on Found Sound Nation's website.
