Overview

Put your sewing skills into practice by completing a wearable garment in one session.

Put your sewing skills into practice by completing a wearable garment in one session. You’ll cut, pin, construct, and finish your project with instructor guidance while learning tricks to bring garments to life from a pattern. Choose between two beginner-friendly patterns:

  • Palazzo pants - loose, wide-legged pants suitable for beginner and experienced sewists.
  • Side tie top – a trendy top sewing pattern that is easy to construct and is perfect for beginners or experienced sewists.

Prerequisite: Sewing 2 or equivalent — comfort with a sewing machine, pattern use, and construction basics. Details of what to bring to class will be provided after you sign up.

About the instructor: Jillian Carrozza graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, as well as Central Saint Martins in London, UK, specializing in fashion design with knitwear. With a passion for textiles, she has worked in costuming, window displays, home décor, consulting and quality assurance. She is happy to bring her 25 years of sewing experience into teaching.
