Garden Buddies at Sunnyfields Homestead

Join us every last Saturday of the month for a fun and educational day at Sunnyfields Homestead! Our Garden Buddies event is perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and young gardeners with their grown-ups who love gardening and spending time outdoors.

Activities may include:

Planting and watering seedlings
Harvesting veggies
Exploring edible flowers with a make-your-own salad station
Flower pressing crafts
Decorating the Garden
Bubbles galore!

Learn new tips and tricks for your garden while making new friends who share your passion. The event will take place at 825 Hammonds Ln, so mark your calendars and come ready to play, dig, and discover!

What age group is this event for?

This event is designed for toddlers and younger children ages 2–5, but all children are welcome! Activities are tailored to be age-appropriate, hands-on, and fun!

Do I need to stay with my child during the event?

Yes, a parent or guardian must stay on-site. Some activities may be parent-assisted, especially for younger children.

What should my child wear?

We recommend play clothes that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, and a hat for sun protection. Gardening can get messy and that’s part of the fun!

What kinds of activities will the kids do?

Activities may include planting seeds, decorating the garden, digging in the garden, learning about bugs and compost, and harvesting seasonal veggies (when available).
