Overview

Start your outdoor garden with confidence! This beginner class covers planting, care tips, and everything you need to grow outside.

Join us for a free Gardening for Beginners Online Workshop on Wednesday, January 7th at 6pm ET. Tune in to learn all the basics to kickstart your outdoor garden this spring—including tips on in-ground planting and container gardening on a patio or stoop! All you need is internet access to *join—instructions will be provided in your order confirmation email.

If gardening (or growing your own food) is on your New Year’s resolution list, winter is the perfect time to start planning! This workshop will help you make the most of the off-season by teaching you how to assess your outdoor space, choose plants that thrive in your climate, and start designing a garden that fits your goals. Whether you're brand new or have a bit of experience, we’ll cover hardiness zones, garden conditions, and planting best practices—so you're ready to dig in come spring!

Class includes a live discussion and Q&A session. All plant questions are welcome. Bonus: Receive a recording after the workshop to jog your memory.

This workshop is held on video conferencing that can be easily accessed on your phone, laptop, or tablet. Have more questions about our workshops? Visit our Workshop FAQ page.

*By reserving your free ticket, you’ll be added to our email list — where we share plant care tips, future workshop invites, and the occasional sale or new arrival. You can unsubscribe anytime.
