Winter is a fun time to look at seed catalogs and dream about the coming growing season. However, where do you start when it comes to planing out your garden for the year? Join us as we discuss the basics of planning your home garden. We will cover:
*what to grow?
*what makes sense for your space?
*how to choose crop varieties
*creating garden goals for the year
*planning out the season from start to finish
*when can i start planting? when is it too late?
*growing strategies: growing for production vs growing for fun
*evaluating the season to build on for next year

This workshop is intended for begining and new growers, but could be useful for backyard growers of any skill level.

Parking: There is limited on street parking. Can park at park'n'ride lot at Hamnett Station.

If traveling by Bus: Garden Dreams is one block from Busway. Hamnet Station. 61A. 

Accessibility: Site entrance accessible by sidewalk, then gravel driveway to greenhouse. Greenhouse has limited paved concrete access. While gardens are uneven grass surfaces

Restroom info: 1 regular portajohn

Drinking water: Bring a water bottle. Water available from a sink
