Gadgets to Teach Coding in the Elementary Classroom
Date and time
Teaching coding skills is an important part of the elementary school curriculum. Devices provide physical manifestation of programming.
About this event
Many elementary classrooms now include computational thinking skills development in their curriculum. Coding, especially, can take many forms: Code.org, Everyone Can Code, CS First, or Scratch. Teachers are discovering that when students can see or touch a physical device follow the coding written in the program, they gain satisfaction and increased interest. We'll look at Sphero, Makey Makey, Puzzlets, and Dash as devices you can use in your classroom to enhance, support, and accelerate your efforts.
