FWISD Choices Expo
Overview
Choices Expo is your one-stop event to explore specialized learning pathways across Fort Worth ISD — from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Families can meet teachers, explore programs, and apply on-site for schools that match their child’s interests — from early learning models to career and college-focused pathways.
Entry levels to apply are for students who will be in grades K–10 in the 2026–2027 school year.
FWISD’s Choices programming begins as early as elementary school, offering unique opportunities like:
- Applied Learning at J.T. Stevens Elementary and Applied Learning Academy
- Montessori education at Daggett Montessori (K–8)
- World Languages, STEM, and Fine Arts programs across multiple campuses
At the secondary level, students can explore dozens of real-world learning pathways, such as:
- STEM & Engineering at I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM & VPA and Young Men’s Leadership Academy
- Medical & Biomedical Sciences at Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences and North Side High School
- Fine Arts & Performance, including Dance at Arlington Heights, Visual Art at I.M. Terrell, and Mariachi at North Side
- Business & Entrepreneurship at Trimble Tech and YMLA
- Aviation, Welding & Construction at Dunbar and Diamond Hill-Jarvis
- Culinary Arts & Hospitality at Trimble Tech, South Hills, and O.D. Wyatt
- Cybersecurity & Web Design at Eastern Hills, Carter-Riverside, and South Hills
- Early College & P-TECH Programs at Marine Creek, TCC South Collegiate, and Western Hills — where students can earn college credit or even an associate degree at no cost
Join us Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9 AM – 1 PM at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center.
FWISD staff will be on-site to help families apply, answer questions, and guide students.
Applications open the same day.
Each student may select up to three Choices. The computer-generated lottery will place students in the highest available choice, while keeping them on waitlists for higher-ranked options if space opens later.
Whether your child is just beginning their educational journey or preparing for college and career success, there’s a place for every student in Fort Worth ISD.
Apply at the Expo or online beginning November 8 → fwisd.org/choices
